Announcing the Oso Grande Neighborhood Association
Annual General Meeting
Our OGNA General Meeting is scheduled for 6:00 pm, October 29, 2026 at the Bear Canyon Senior Center, 4645 Pitt, NE, Albuquerque, 87111.
We have an exciting Agenda of informational speakers including City Staff and NM District 27 candidates as well as OGNA Board Member Elections. The topics and/or speakers so far will be:
- Fire Safety and Awareness In and Around Your Home: ABQ Fire Rescue
- Foothills Community Planning Process: D. J. Felipe
- NM District 27 House of Representatives Candidates: Abbey Foster (D); Jahnelle Louise Garcia (R)
OGNA Board Member Elections
We also want to make Oso Grande residents aware of our upcoming OGNA Board of Director positions and elections this Fall so you can become involved and serve your Oso Grande Neighborhood Association (OGNA)! These OGNA Board positions are open for nominations and self-nominations: President, Vice President, Secretary, and 4 At Large positions. These positions will be for a term of two calendar years October 2026 – October 2028. A Board Application can be found under the OGNA Board tab on this website and must be submitted by October 8, 2026 or no later than 20 days before the scheduled Oso Grande Annual meeting on October 29, 2026.
All voting for the OGNA Board Elections will take place at the OGNA Annual Meeting on 6:00 pm, October 29, 2026 at Bear Canyon Senior Center in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Neighborhood Association Recognition Ordinance [0-22-15].
OGNA Membership
Per the OGNA Bylaws and the City of Albuquerque’s Neighborhood Association Recognition Ordinance [0-22-15], members need to renew their membership on an annual basis. Memberships expire on the last day of October each year. Remember that OGNA membership is required to vote in the Annual Elections.
A Membership Application can be found under the Join the Neighborhood Association tab on this website. You can bring the completed Membership Application form(s) to the OGNA General Mtg Applications on October 29; mail them to OGNA, PO Box 21927, Albuquerque, 87154; or, email to Lorraine Kubic, Lrainskubik@gmail.com.
The suggested OGNA Annual Membership donations for October 2026 – October 2027 are $25.00. We also accept and appreciate any amount you may wish to give. Payment of donations is not a pre-requisite of membership or voting rights in the association. Donations are used for neighborhood improvement projects and expenses (such as the annual cost of the OGNA website, fees for a US Postal Service Post Office Box, and administrative supplies) for the overall benefit of our neighborhood.
